Second attempt at Season Opener THIS SUNDAY

Officials from the Kinross Speedpark / Fox Boyz Racing will make a second attempt to kick off their 2015 “Super 7 Racing Series” tomorrow - SUNDAY, JUNE 14 by utilizing their first rain date of the season.

Time trials are set for 1:30 p.m. with racing to follow at 3 p.m.

The season was originally scheduled to begin last weekend (June 7) but rain hampered those attempts and postponed events one week, until now.

On the afternoon’s card of events is a full schedule of Precision Forestry Modifieds, Ken Graham Trucking A-Division Stock Cars, Little Caesar’s Pizza B-Division Stock Cars and Autozone Four Cylinders featuring dashes, two heats and features.

For the youngest race fans the track will have a number of off-track features including a bouncy house, face painting and mascots while at intermission there will be Kids Power Wheels Races.

Parents are encouraged to bring their son/daughter’s power wheels vehicle so they can turn a lap around the 1/4 mile.

Grandstand admission is affordably priced for the entire family with Adult passes $10, Seniors/Students $6 while Kids 11 & Under are ALWAYS FREE.

In addition, pre-race ceremonies will honour fallen racer CHRIS JONES who was taken from our racing family just over a week ago.

The track will honour his life on and off the track, and will also be accepting donations to assist his family by “passing a helmet” through both the grandstand and pit areas.

Kinross Speedpark is conveniently located off I-75 at exit 378 and by following the signs to the Chippewa County Fairgrounds.

Fans/racers are reminded that there is a detour on the I-75 at Mile 386 and will be required to follow the detour, or they can access Kinross by following Mackinaw Trail from Sault Ste. Marie, MI.

We look forward to seeing everyone trackside!
