KINROSS, MI- Competitors and fans from both sides of the St. Mary’s River will usher in the 2015 stock car racing season this coming Sunday, June 7 at the Kinross Speedpark with their Season Opener.

The afternoon of action marks the second consecutive season under the guidance of Mike & Paul Fox and their dedicated group of volunteers.
Time trials begin at 1:30 p.m. with racing action at 3 p.m.
Racing action takes to the 1/4 mile asphalt oval in four divisions of cars;
Precision Forestry Modifieds, Ken Graham Trucking A-Division, Little Caesar’s Pizza B-Division and Autozone Four Cylinders.
All four of the track’s defending champions are slated to return to action including Rick Ellis (#5 Modified - Soo, ON), Larry Young Jr. (#25 - ABC A-Division, Soo MI), Tyler Rye (#34 ABC B-Division, Pickford MI) and John Carter (#29 Four Cylinder, Soo ON)
Each and every race day will include four car dashes, two heats and features in each division with competitors from the Twin Sault area, lower Michigan, EUP and beyond expected to be pitside.
For the season opener, track officials have numerous events taking place for their youngest fans including face painting, bouncy house, mascots and don’t forget to bring your son or daughter’s “power wheels” vehicles so they can take to the track at intermission time.
General Grandstand admission remains unchanged and is just $10 for Adults, $6 for Seniors & Students while Kids 11 & Under are always FREE for events in 2015.
Kinross Speedpark is conveniently located off I-75 (exit 378) at the Chippewa County Fairgrounds.
Due to present construction on I-75 fans will be required to follow the detours to the track, or take Mackinaw Trail to Kinross and all the racing action.
